What can I expect at my first appointment?

During your first treatment, I will ask you to fill in a short questionnaire about your general health and health goals and discuss with you how a reflexology program will be tailored specifically to your individual needs. We will look at how I can support you to achieve your goals and move towards physical, emotional and spiritual wellness.

Reflexology is a little different to a standard foot or hand massage. Using a combination of Western & Chinese Reflexology techniques, Thai Foot Massage, Brazilian Toe Technique, Linking and RLD (Reflexology Lymphatic Drainage), I use targeted motions on reflex points in your feet, hands, face and ears to promote healing and recovery.

How long are the appointments?

Reflexology sessions are generally an hour, however the first Initial Consultation may take a little longer so allow 1.5 hours for this. I work intuitively to discover which areas of your body are out of balance and where energy flow may be blocked. Time permitting, at the end of the session, we finish off with a Deep Relaxation session which allows the body to go into the Theta brainwave state. This slows down the Central Nervous System, greatly helps to release stress and boosts the body’s innate healing capacity.

How often should I have a Reflexology Session?

If you are tackling a specific issue, chronic illness or injury rehabilitation, it is advisable to have 4-6 sessions of reflexology in fairly quick succession. Generally, I recommend having these initial sessions on a weekly basis and then dropping back to fortnightly, until such time as you simply come for monthly maintenance visits. All consults focus on restoring wellness and offer clinical therapeutic benefit.

Reflexology appointments are available every Monday and Wednesday at my Home Clinic in Brinsmead.

Will I be able to claim this through my private health?

Private Health rebates have now unfortunately been removed for reflexology appointments.
